    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: SINGER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xU.2ADE/541.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Patti - I could not find any William L. or William Lenard or Lenard SINGER in Arizona public records at Knowx.com. There are a few William SINGER's, but none anywhere near or in Payson (Gila), Arizona (AZ). I also could find no public document filed at the Maricopa County recorders office from 1968 to the present. This can be a great resource in finding people because such things as property deeds, lawsuits, financial statements, divorce decrees, and death certificates, just to mention are few are available for searching and viewing. As mentioned, no public records exist for William Lenard SINGER at the Maricopa Recorders office. As you live in Mesa I'm sure you know that Payson is in Gila County which is north north east of Phoenix (Maricopa) and south south east of Flagstaff. Communities in and around Payson include Star Valley and Fort McDonald. I found a "Chamber of Commerce" like resource for Payson at www.rimcountry.com/roster.htm. At this site you can view business members in the surrounding area. There were no cattle ranches, but there are several businesses that are DBA horse ranches or businesses that stabled horses. They are: Hashknife Ranch Roping at 928-472-2755, O K Corral Stables at 928-476-4303, Kohl's Ranch at 928-478-4211, Patterson Farms at 928-474-1732 and Spirit River Ranch at 928-468-0468. You might consider investing a dime and call these establishments and inquire if anyone knew or knows of your father and/or the names of other ranches that might not be listed in this Rim Country roster. I would ask to speak with the property owner for the best probable result. You coul! d also contact a realtor on the roster who specializes in ranch sales and perhaps they could give you a listing of all ranches in the area. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more quantitative help. If you haven't already thought of it or done so, you might consider a posting at the Gila County board at the Arizona website for Rootsweb/Ancestry.com. Good luck. Glen F.
