It is so interesting and if you don't mind I will try to explain some of the time lines so you will understand the situation better. I started doing research on the COUTURE line from Wisconsin in 1998. I found that my grandmother on my mother's side was a Mae COUTURE and she had a brother named Louis Couture. They were born in Milwaukee. Through obituary look-ups, I found that his wife, Marion McShane Couture died in Milwaukee in 1944 and that they had one daughter and one grandchild. The daughter was a Mrs. Joseph Mosovsky. Through obituary look-ups, I found that Louis H. Couture died in Phoenix in January 1969 at 83 years old. He had lived in Phoenix for 17 years. He lived at 4505 E. Vermont South. It said his daughter was then a Mrs. Marion Y. Gold. He was taken back to Milwaukee for burial as the late husband of Marian McShane Couture for burial. The obituary in Milwaukee said he was the father of Mrs. Alex (Marian) Gold of Phoenix, AZ further survived by one grandchild Diane Moss. I did locate the Milwaukee birth registration of their daughter, Marion Arella Couture, born July 28, 1914. That explains the mother and daughter both being named Marion or Marian. I've had such little luck finding anything on the COUTURE family that I thought perhaps I could get in touch with the daughter or granddaughter. I thought maybe they still lived in Phoenix. Are either of them in the phone book? It seems strange that Marian Y Gold filed a divorce decree on behalf of her deceased father unless he had married for a second time and there was some problem. It's interesting as a genealogy detective (I'm sure you know what I mean) but of course none of my concern. I doubt if I would send for any copies of documents in Arizona again. I had to almost sign my life away to get a copy of Louis H. Couture's death certificate. I hope I haven't confused you too much. I really appreciate all the information that you sent to me. I'm sure we are looking at the same family. I feel I owe you so much for your time and I will be glad to make it right with you if you could send me the phone numbers of Marian Y. Gold at 4505 East Vermont Avenue South and maybe even her daughter Diane (Gold) Moss. If there is more than one, I could try them all. I will now try to get on the Maricopa, Az website but I'm not very good on the computer so thanks again for your help. JoAnn
