She was born July 15, 1959, in Akron to Melvin and Ramona Parker Alday. The family moved to Loveland when she was a year old, and she attended Monroe Elementary and Truscott Junior High School. The family returned to Akron in 1972. After working as a police dispatcher in Yuma, she joined the Air Force in 1980. Following her release from the service for health reasons, she attended the University of Northern Colorado before moving to Arizona. She married Gene Conway on June 4, 1982, in Reno, Nev. The couple lived in Loveland, where Mrs. Conway worked in a drug store. They moved to Tempe in 1989. She loved cards and games of all kinds, sports, playing tennis and announcing at Little League games. She had a love of poetry and art and the outdoors. She is survived by her husband, Gene Conway of Tempe; mother Ramona Parker Liming of Brush; sisters Roxanna Dale Alday of Stoughton, Wis., and Rendolynn Sue Greene and husband Shannon of Akron; a nephew and niece; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Alday; stepfather Neil Liming; and her grandparents. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene, 807 W. 29th St. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to a charity of choice.
