I believe he lived in the Phoenix area from the late 60s till perhaps the early 90s. His D.O.B. is 12/06/42 and his father resided in the Needles, CA area at one point. I haven't seen him since 1961 and I would like to get to know him.

I recently decided to do my family tree on my father's side. His name was Russell Barry Llewellyn, he was born in Glendale, Arizona USA on 12/29/1943. His mother and father were not married. His mother unofficially changed his name to Russell Barry Discenza, which is the name he married, lived, and died under. (My father died 4/30/01, Spokane, WA). All that his mother would tell me is that his father's name was Russell L. Llewellyn, that he was a specialist at Lukes Air Force Base in 1943, was born somewhere in North Carolina between 1919-1921, that he may have produced the t.v. show M.A.S.H., and that he may have a half brother living somewhere in the continental US who is a college Prof., or something to that effect. I have all documention to prove relation. Do you have any information, advice, or leads for me? If you do, please e-mail me back at LadyinRed0125@yahoo.com. I would really appreciate any help I can receive on this matter...it's not the easiest project I have ever encountered, to put lightly. Anyway, cheerio, and thank you for you time. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xU.2ADE/423 Message Board Post: Mr. Pritchett, I have read w/great interest your replies to those in need. What a dedicated and very thorough person you are! One of the searches of great interest to me was the one you did for Diane Winters who was looking for her birth father. I have a puzzling question. You suggested that she look at her birth certificate (for which she had sent) and maybe it would give her some info she needed. My 2 brothers, my sister and I were adopted. All that shows up on the birth certificates is the adoption parents names and addresses. My sister tried about 2-3 years ago to get an "original" birth certificate with our natural parents' names on it, but she was refused. We, now adult children, and our adoptive parents know all aboout our natural parents. In fact my oldest brother was raised by our natural mother's parents and my other brother and I were adopted by our natural mother's cousin. My question is: Can we get birth certificates with our natural birth parents names, ! etc? If so, how would we go about doing it? I can get permission from my mother, but my oldest brother and my sister have no way of getting such permission. Thank you and keep up the terrific job of helping others. Sue

I am new to this list and to researching in Arizona. I am trying to find information on Robert James ASHLEY, born 4 April 1924, I do not know where. He died Nov 1987 in Phoenix, and I have been unable to locate an obituary for him. His wife Jessie Mae (nee OGDEN) ASHLEY was born 16 Mar 1921 in Enid, Oklahoma and died in 1997 in Payson, AZ. (I have her obituary) I am trying to prove that these are grandparents, but each state is a state where you have to prove you are related to get birth or death certs and I need the certs to prove the relationship. I know they lived in New York in 1952 when their son Richard was born. Richard married Jackie MORGAN in Jan 1974 in Phoenix. I would be grateful for any suggestions on which way to turn and would love to meet any of their descendants. Thanks for any help you can offer. Sharon
