Surnames: CHRISTNER, NEWELL Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xU.2ADE/535.1 Message Board Post: Hi Chris - Regarding your query about the CHRISTNER surname could you please provide some additional information such as; who are looking for, is this person or persons a father, mother, child, grandparent to you, etc.? Do you have any given first names including maiden names. Are other relations to the research subject(s) you have an interest in known to have also been in Maricopa County? What era are you researching; i.e. 2002, 1982, 1932? I feel certain you'll generate more assistance from board volunteers if you choose to provide more information. If you read some of the other posts at this site, you'll see what can be found if some fundamental information is available to work with. Happy Hunting. Glen F. Pritchett, USGENWEB volunteer

    1. [Maricopa] Re: Louis H. COUTURE, 1969 era, Maricopa County, Arizona (AZ)
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xU.2ADE/523.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Glen First I want to thank you for responding to my inquiry. It is so interesting and if you don't mind I will try to explain some of the time lines so you will understand the situation better. I started doing research on the COUTURE line from Wisconsin in 1998. I found that my grandmother on my mother's side was a Mae COUTURE and she had a brother named Louis Couture. They were born in Milwaukee. Through obituary look-ups, I found that his wife, Marion McShane Couture died in Milwaukee in 1944 and that they had one daughter and one grandchild. The daughter was a Mrs. Joseph Mosovsky. Through obituary look-ups, I found that Louis H. Couture died in Phoenix in January 1969 at 83 years old. He had lived in Phoenix for 17 years. He lived at 4505 E. Vermont South. It said his daughter was then a Mrs. Marion Y. Gold. He was taken back to Milwaukee for burial as the late husband of Marian McShane Couture for burial. The obituary in Milwaukee said he was the father of Mrs. Alex (Marian) Gold of Phoenix, AZ further survived by one grandchild Diane Moss. I did locate the Milwaukee birth registration of their daughter, Marion Arella Couture, born July 28, 1914. That explains the mother and daughter both being named Marion or Marian. I've had such little luck finding anything on the COUTURE family that I thought perhaps I could get in touch with the daughter or granddaughter. I thought maybe they still lived in Phoenix. Are either of them in the phone book? It seems strange that Marian Y Gold filed a divorce decree on behalf of her deceased father unless he had married for a second time and there was some problem. It's interesting as a genealogy detective (I'm sure you know what I mean) but of course none of my concern. I doubt if I would send for any copies of documents in Arizona again. I had to almost sign my life away to get a copy of Louis H. Couture's death certificate. I hope I haven't confused you too much. I really appreciate all the information that you sent to me. I'm sure we are looking at the same family. I feel I owe you so much for your time and I will be glad to make it right with you if you could send me the phone numbers of Marian Y. Gold at 4505 East Vermont Avenue South and maybe even her daughter Diane (Gold) Moss. If there is more than one, I could try them all. I will now try to get on the Maricopa, Az website but I'm not very good on the computer so thanks again for your help. JoAnn

    1. [Maricopa] Re: Louis H. COUTURE, 1969 era, Maricopa County, Arizona (AZ)
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: COUTER, MCSHANE, GOLD, MOSS, EARL, CARTER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xU.2ADE/523.1 Message Board Post: Hi JoAnn - If you go to the Maricopa County Recorders office website significant information regarding your research subjects can be studied. Once at the webpage, you'll note down in the lower left side of the webpage a place to click on documents from 1968 to 1982. While these documents are not viewable, they can be purchased following your review of a brief summation of the type of document recorded. As an example in 1972 Marian Y. GOLD filed a divorce decree on behalf of her deceased father Louis H. COUTURE. Why she felt the need to record this document publicly is not known, but you can purchase it. There are no documents of Marian/Marion Arella COUTURE for this era. Perhaps Louis was divorced before 1968 and then perhaps she left the Maricopa area. A search of the recorders records before 1968 could yield some clues, but that would probably take a personal visit to the recorders office. There is also a deed recorded of behalf of Louis and daughter Marian (note her first name spelling differs from your information) in 1969. There are also documents for Alex GOLD including a deed, divorce, release of a mortage and a judgement from the era of 1969 through 1974. Marian Y. GOLD has a significant inventory of recorded documents beginning in 1969 through 1982 including deeds, releases and at least one partnership. I found no documents listed for Diane MOSS of that era. Again these documents are not viewable, but you can order them online if you think they would be worthwhile in your research. Then if you return to the home page and click on documents from 1982 to the present you can view some more (but not as many as the first era). Documents filed by Marian Y. GOLD from 1998 through 2002 include liens, releases, deeds, quick claim deeds and a assignment, some with signatures. She clearly spells her first name Marian and not Marion. Her address appears to be consistently 4505 East Vermont Avenue South, Phoenix, Arizona (AZ) 85018 as late as 2002. There are several Diane MOSS listings but its impossible to tell if any are your research subject as they mostly have middle name or initials. There are also some Diane GOLD listings if your Diane MOSS surname was GOLD. Both databases give huge clues as to who may also be related in that you can discern which COUTURE's (as an example) were resident in Maricopa during a certain era of one of your research subjects, creating some likelihood that some may be relations. Hope this helps you in your searches. Glen F. Pritchett, USGENWEB volunteer

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: CLARK, LEASURE, YODER, CLARK, JENKINS, DOWNTON, WHITE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xU.2ADE/526.1 Message Board Post: Hi Barbara - If you go to the Maricopa County Recorders website, click on documents from 1982 to the present (lower left of your screen), type in Clark, Flora you will find her death certificate filed in 1995 as one document and a estate tax waiver filed in the same year for a piece of property. The death certificate includes significant details as to her personal life and is attested to by a son who resided in Los Angeles. As the certificate was filed after 1992 you can print out a copy at no charge, same for the estate tax waiver. She was born in Frostburg (Allegany), Maryland (MD) (not far from my home town) and died of lung cancer. She was widowed at the time and had lived in Arizona for 12 years. She came to Arizona from Colorado in 1981. The tax waiver may have been requested by a relative who resides in Hawaii (HI). You can also go the the Mesa Public Library website and order a copy of any obituary they have on microfiche, if one was published. There is no charge for their service. You can email or fax them a request. Enjoy!! Glen F. Pritchett

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: JURICA, CAIN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xU.2ADE/528.1 Message Board Post: Hi Heidi - There is no recordation of any public document since 1982 for a Donald James JURICA or any combination of name abbreviations or initials at the Maricopa County Recorders office which serves Mesa. This doesn't mean he's not in Maricopa County, it just means that he has filed no documents that require public disclosure. There is also no listing for a Donald James JURICA at Knowx.com for all of Arizona, although there is a "D. JURICA" residing in Tucson. Whether this is your research subject or not cannot be determined from this limited viewable information. You can purchase whatever personal information Knowx.com has on D. JURICA for $1.95 if you choose to do so. There are currently no JURICA's, active or inactively, incarcerated in any Arizona correctional facility. Classmates.com has no registration for a Don/Donald or James/Jim JURICA and Reunitetonight.com could find no listing for a male of his name, approximately age 32 (my assumption because they ask for an age) living in Arizona. I'll keep an eye out for you at some other sites. Glen F. Pritchett, USGENWEB volunteer
