Hello, I was going to request some obituaries from the Arizona Archives, but they want me to name a newspaper. There are 4 obituaries that I am looking for with 2 people who lived in Phoenix and 2 people who lived in Sun City. The time period is 1980-1985. I contacted the Archives for advise. They gave me the names of 3 newspapers in Sun City. I have no idea which ones were likely to publish obituaries. They also directed me to a database at the Mesa Regional FHC, but the names I am researching did not appear in that database. Does that mean that it is likely there were no obituaries for these people? I am not sure how to proceed and would appreciated any advise that could be offered. Thank you, Cheri -- www.sletten.name
I've "rescued" an old photograph of John Farrar MORGAN which was taken at the S. G. Rogers Studio in Washington, PA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with John noted as 1 year old at the time it was taken. John was one of 6 children born to this couple including, Elizabeth "Bessie" Hindman; Jennie Farrar; George Billingsley; James Edward; and John Farrar; and Jane MORGAN, all born between 1875 and 1883 in Washington and Allegheny Co.
