Hello, My name is Vickie Ortiz and I have recently launched a website called idaphoto in order to identify unknown lost photos that are inherited, found in antique shops, and found after a natural disaster. Hi Folks I wonder if someone could give me some research advice please. My father worked for the Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company in 1928/1929/1930. Does anyone know if employment records would be available and where they would be found? He bought a car while he was there and I have a copy of his driver's licence. I am wondering if there would be any records of the vehicle registration available, or purchase records from when he bought the car. I am looking for anything that might be available to help document his stay in Miami, so any ideas would be welcomed. I did try contacting Phelps-Dodge a few years ago (who seemed to be the then owners of Inspiration) but my letter was returned to me. Thanks. Vern
I have sent this to all the state coordinators and hopefully they will forward this on to all the counties. I'm looking for some feedback on an ancestry website I created for beginners. It's a collection of free ancestry resources and how to use them. My wife convinced me to put this website together. I kept getting questions from people who knew I was doing ancestry research. They wanted to know where to go to get information about their ancestry. So I put this website together: http://sites.google.com/site/FunSimpleFreeAncestry It contains a lot of links to websites that are already in many of the GenWeb County websites. I just put them all together with examples of how to use them. I've been tracking the hits on each page and have removed a couple and added some. I think I have the right balance now. At least people seem to be looking at all of the pages on the website. Please feel free to pass this email onto anyone or any group that may find it useful. Thanks, Dan Smith

I would like copies of the obits if possible for the following 4 people. I am also send this request to binksmom@q.com to be sure you get it. 1. George S JUKA Sr - born 3 Jul 1914 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California and died 12 Apr 1990 in Globe, Gila County, Arizona. He is buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona. George served as a US Merchant MArine during Workld War II. 2. Mildred Rosemary (maiden name unknown) JUKA - born 20 Jun 1915 (place unknown) and died 3 May 1989 in Glendale, Maicopa County, Arizona. She is buried at the National Memorial Cemetery with her husband George. 3. Zorka Juliana JUKA HARRIS - daughter of Geroge and Mildred JUKA. She was born in 1940 (place unknown) and died sometime after her marriage to Ronald Lee HARRIS on 17 Nov 1962 in Globe, Arizona. As I remember she died shortly after her marriage from a terminal disease. I do not know where she and her husband lived when she died. I did find that Zorka graduated in 1958 from Globe High School. 4. George S JUKA Jr. - born in Sept 1955 with Down's Syndrome. He may still be alive but I doubt it. If he is still alive would now be 55 years old. George Jr lived in a home for the handicap from the time he was young. I don't know where the handicap home was but suspect it was in Globe or close by. I have not been able to find out anything about him at all. Uncle George was my dad's half brother. His parents were Steve JUKA and Zorka SUNARA. Zorka was my dad, Mitchell DRASKOVICH's, mother. Parents of Steve JUKA were George JUKA and Anna PULICH. Thank you for writing Michelle. I am not at home where my information is but will be returning there in a few days. I will e-mail you the information I have for my uncle, George S Juka and his wife Mildred Rosemary when I get home. Can't thank you enough for this opportunity. I will be going to the library tomorrow, Friday, February 4th. If you would like a lookup for an obituary in either Pima or Maricopa County, please send your request to binksmom425 (at) q (dot) com. Make sure to include the following items in your request. 1. Name of Deceased (make sure to include the spouse's name if this is a female) 2. Date of Death (Month & Year are not enough as the obituaries are not indexed) 3. City & County for Place of Death Again, these obituaries are not indexed so the more information you can provide, the better. I will be asking for reimbursement of my expenses of copies and postage for mailing them to you. Thank you, Michelle

Hello I am new to these three lists. Please do not consider me impolite as I write to all these list in one letter. I am doing research only on one person in these counties: Andrew TYSON, he was born in the later prussian province of Schleswig Holstein as Thies Andreas THAYSEN He was born 11. Sept. 1832 in Morsum, Island Sylt and died in 1891/92 in PIOCHE. He worked as an Saloon keeper, As listed below he died in Pioche,NV. There are today at least three cemeteries, where could he be burried? As he travelled a lot...Are there any records on saloon keeper, citizens or anything else in Globe, Tombstone, Pioche, Silver Reef? We own an old photograph and some letters. So I would like to know more about him. Thank you Morten Germany Here is what I found through the internet: Andrew Tyson Feb. 27, 1892 Arizona Silver Belt The Tombstone Prospector states that a letter was received announcing the death in Pioche, NM of Andrew Tyson who formerly lived in Tombstone and subsequently in Globe.
