As was Robert who was killed in WW1. I found his information on the Commonwealth Graves Commission site a few years ago. Tried to find someone to take a photo of his grave, as people do htat, but there was nobody in that particular area who did that. We also had a photo of Robert on the living room wall in Allans Hill, wearing his uniform. My Grampa died in 1959 and my Granny (Jessie Anderson) died in 1961. The picture was removed by someone and I have tried to find it since but nobody will own up to owning it. I also wrote to hte Ayrshire Yeomanry in Ayr to try to find out more information on Robert's death, but unfortunately they didn't even do me the courtesy of replying.
