Margaret Hazle was my grandfather's (James Hazel Jess) mother. She was born at Craigfin, never married, so far as we can see, and had a daughter out of wedlock, Mary Wason Brown, I haven't got my information in front of me but I think the father was reported to be William Brown. His parents were David Jess and Mary Wason Brown. Be interesting to see how your Jess line compares to mine. We ahve traced our Jess family all hte way down the Ayrshire coast to Portpatrick, but can't find the link in Ireland. Regards, Jim Williamson.
