Hi I have found what I think could be my ancestor's entry in the 1841 census for Galston. He is Robert Reid (Ancestry, com have him indexed as Reed) aged 70, lived at Strath Mill and his occupation is "Paperm J". I have obtained a copy of the original entry from Scotlandspeople in the hope that the occupation may have been clearer but it is just "Paperm J". Could this be Papermaker Journeyman? My Robert was a papermaker and it would be great if I could get help to interpret this entry correctly. Many thanks Kerrie
