They did most of their original indexing in the 1950s and the laws in various countries relating to the age of records that could be made public restrict what you can view online. I have found her on scotlandspeople. She was born in 1881 as Marion Kay Young in Galston, Ayrshire. Stevens was not her birth surname. There was no official adoption procedures or records in Scotland until the 20th century, so if her father is not named on the record you will be at a dead end. You may find that Mrs/Miss Young died will giving birth and as the Stevens lived nearby, next door or were friends, they "took" in the new baby. So you may need to also look for any Young's in or around Galston. I have one branch of my family where this happened and even today they still call themselves Boyd and many of the daughters have called sons Boyd as a first name.
