I am descending from Walter's sister Agnes Pennal b 1756 Stevenston. She married Patrick Logan 1784 in Stevenston. My research shows 7 children born to William Pennal and Jane Ferguson and 5 of those I have marriages. I would be pleased to share information with you on our Pennal lines. Janet Thom and Walter Pennal appear on the 1822 Landsborough Parish List originally transcribed by Mairi Frew. The original handwritten entry for William and Janet was located above Walter Glen along with their daughter Jane Pennal 4 children, all were living on the Boglemart, Stevenston. As to proof of the identification of her parents as to my personal knowledge they are still unknown. Jane Ferguson's parents were Walter Ferguson and Agnes Smillie.
