I think we are related. See below my relationship to James Dunlop. I am in Fenwick at the moment doing research on my great grandfather John Gillies Shields (aka "J.G."). I have just scanned in a lot of Dunlop documents from the Burns Centre in Kilmarnock but need to scan in more; there is a lot of information on the Dunlops. >From your last name I am assuming you are a Ferguson? We are related to them as well. Are you related to the Patricks as well; on the 1861 Census for Janet a McFadzean and an Eliz. Patrick are working for them.
