As you probably know they came to the US sometime before 1880 and were living in Morris, Illinois in the 18809 census. They had three children at that time (more later): Mary, 9, Hannah, 7, and Katie, 4. I suspect that there son Robert had died, since he is not reported in the 1880 census and they later had another son named Robert. Catherine had clearly died before 1900 since she is not in the 1900 census, and then in the 1910 census father Robert is living with Mary and her family (the Prydes). So even if Mary was born before Robert and Catherine were married, she certainly seems to have been a full-fledged member of the family, taking care of her father after her mother's death. The Prydes had 5 children in 1910, Violet, James, Janet, Catherine, and Dorothy. Are you descended from one of these? My cousin in a descendant of Hannah, who married John McIlveny, and after his death she married Ernest Wahlberg. (My cousin is a McIlveny.) Father Robert Jamieson was living with Hannah Wahlberg and her family at the time of his death in 1925. Any information you could give me about the ancestry of Robert Jamieson and Catherine Kairney (Carney) would be greatly appreciated. I can also facilitate contact with my cousin, since she is your cousin also, if you would like. John Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
