    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: turnerbrenda_1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.scotland.ayr.general/14387.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Yes. That's them. There were two register entries, completely separate, of an A. Turner, son of those two, and the register states that they were living at Avisyard. The name of the child was almost unreadable, but was transcribed as "A." Then there was the second entry for Andrew Mitchel, on the same date, though it appears to have been scratched out and rewritten, which again makes it difficult to read correctly. Do you have any idea if these were twins? Or any other explanation? Your record shows Andrew Mitchel Turner having married in 1819. My Archie came to Canada in 1820, and was shown in all records as being alone, and a single man. Archie married here in 1822 to the girl on the next farm lot, and that is well documented. If there is any additional information of a later date, such as children being born to Andrew Mitchel and wife, he definitely could not be my Archie. Any ideas? Many thanks for what you have provided. Cheers. Brenda Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
