Also located Euphemia's death, stated as widow of the late Joseph Turner, in Ochiltree, on the 25 February, 1843 at 84 years. Also located who may be Euphemia in the 1841 census at Ochiltree, age 78, called Effie, with son James and daughter Mary, though their ages don't match terribly well, and a Thomas Turner, age 20, with wife Barbara age 25, and sons Robert (3)and Thomas (1) also in Ochiltree. The Ochiltree Parish Church and yard has on-line a record of stone 180, a memorial from Joseph and Elizabeth Turner in memory of their sister, Mary, who died 3 June 1858, at age 67, which appears to be the same Mary's birth mentioned earlier, and the one living with Effie in the 1841 census. Has anyone knowledge of this family? And especially any knowledge of Archie Turner, who I believe to be the son of this family? If this is the correct Archie, he left Scotland in 1820 for Canada, along with neighbours the McLatchie family. Any info. greatly appreciated. Cheers from Canada!
