Margaret Gemmill (1792-1857), b Riccarton, Ayr was the sister of my GGF James Gemmill (1786-1857) who lived his life in Kilmarnock. She was buried in Kilmaurs Burying Ground. She was married to Thomas Andrew (no Information) and they had no children. The Informant on her death record, however,was her NEPHEW William Wylie, but I have no other information on him either. Somehow, as you say, the Gemmills and the Wylies lived near each other and were interconnected by marriage. The parents of both my GGF and his sister Margaret Gemmill were named John Gemmel and Jean (Jane) Richmond who married in Fenwick, Ayr, 2 Dec 1785.
