We have Parkers, Wyllies, Calderwoods on our Shields from Ayrshire tree. I have just returned from Fenwick (live in England) and did near near on three weeks of research. My ggrandfather, John Gillies Shields b. 1857 Stewarton ended up being the Estate Agent for Lord Donington of Loudoun Castle (which is Galston way) but many of the family members and associated families were from Stewarton. I am waiting to hear back from a guy who writes all the Wikepedia sites for Stewarton to get back to me.
