I know quite a bit about Mr Andrew Dalrymple , notary in Mauchline circa 1578- 1657 ( close dates ) and would like to share info with you if we are interested in the same person ! He had 4 sons , Charles , John , Andrew and James and his wife was Janet Dalrymple , daughter of Charles Dalrymple a burgess in Ayr . He was solicitor to Campbell of Louden as well as to Stewart .
