What I can share with you is John's first wife was Jane Logan Thomson c.1835, daughter of William Thomson and Mary Logan of Stevenston, Ayrshire. I do have the certificate details of her marriage to John Gillan in Irvine on the 15th day of May 1863. (attachment) Father of John is noted as Laurence and mother, Margaret Glancie (it appears to me) The marriage in the Irvine Catholic Church was witnessed by Mary Thomson and William Burke. Two children that I have been able to find, but not followed as of yet. Any info would be appreciated. Margaret Gillian Sept 8 1863 b Dreghorn, Ayrshire and Jane Gillan July 29 1865 b. Auchinleck.
