This was the first time that I have been to these Games.. They had about 15 or so pipe bands from what I could hear on the Clan row. Despite a little Scottish mist, it was quite a good day. This area of NSW did not open up until about the early 1840’s when timber getters first discovered the River that Captain Cook and other early explorers had missed. In the town they have pained their electric poles in various Clan Tartans, but it was a little bit hard to both read and remember which clans were represented to see if any came from Ayrshire. Unfortunately, I did not have any Ayrshire Clans come past my tent, but I am sure that I will find some next year when I go. (I assume that this will held on Easter Saturday in 2016). Thank you.
