James Gillan Tough was my grandfather and Jeanie Kerr my grandmother so have some info on both of them - although less on Jeanie as she was the illegitimate daughter of Annie Kerr. (Annie later married William Wright ??? Jeanie's father). Do you have Jeanie's details? James was born in Alford, Aberdeenshire, to William Tough and Margaret Chapman. William was the illegitimate son of Charlotte Grassie of Gartly, Aberdeenshire, and "presumed" James Tough. I have more info on Charlotte Grassie. Please email me for further details.
