Since my Scottish family did seem to have a tendency to marry cousins it is possible that it is significant but my Syme (Margaret) - Templeton (James) marriage was a lot earlier - in 1781. It may be that the Templeton and Syme families kept in touch - who knows? Best wishes, Mary
