Hi All, To answer some questions I thought I might write what is on the Birth Record "Wallace (is in the surname Column) Robert late in Wynd now in Orchard a married man & Agnes Adamson in Galston their adulterous child Born 10th April and Baptised 13th October named Sara the father sponsor" The baptism was in the County of Mauchline. I have been told that the Father sponsor meant that Robert Wallace recognized and accepted that it was his child. I have also been told years ago that their was another child and that later Agnes and Robert married so am trying to sort all this information out. As well as find out where these two places are. Carol, to most probably answer some of you questions, search the familysearch.org catalogue online to see if the Kirk Sessions for Mauchline and Galston have been filmed, if so order the films to come in to your closest LDS centre. As for baptisms even if the two parties are married mostly you will find he woman recorded with her maiden surname.
