Recently when I was at the Burns Centre at Kilmarnock, I found a reference that said “Robert Boyd, Archbishop of Glasgow buried in the choir of the Cathedral and in the same sepulchre as Bishop Gavin Dunbar.” A few days later when I was in Glasgow, I went to the Cathedral and walked around the “PRESENT” choir area, but I could not see any Sepulchres, let alone one with his name on it. This burial took place in the early 1600’s, so when this reference was written was the Choir in a different place in the Cathedral? Or is this reference wrong an Archbishop Boyd was not buried in the Choir area of the Cathedral? As anyone got any information where he might be buried in Glasgow Cathedral? By the way, I think that Bishop Gavin Dunbar was a distant cousin. Thank you Mike boyd
