Morning Like Bill and others I have a connection to the "BRYDEN" families of which, I think, there are at least 3 distinct lines (?) not yet linked. Mine is through an illegitimate daughter Jane born 1878 in Kilgrammie (Ayrshire) who married Thomas STEED - they were in the Dairy business. Her mother was Euphemia born circa 1857 and was the daughter of a Thomas BRYDEN and Jane McMURTRIE. Thomas' parents were John and Ann COOPER who married 1826 in Dailly.
