I was looking for a name on Scotlandsplaces today in the male servants tax roll but when I clicked on it a screen appeared telling me I needed a subscription....despite the male servants tax roll having been transcribed by volunteers! Now I discover that to see the transcriptions one should scroll down from the "A scotlandsplaces subscription is required ..." screen. Scrolling down gets you to the typed transcription. Irene
