Her name was Margaret Fisher Thomson born 28/09/1898 at Ayr, Scotland. She had a brother William Thomson born 02/04/1900 at Ayr, Scotland. Their parents were William & Helena Thomson (nee Welch/Welsh). Margaret was separated from her brother William after their mother died 22/12/1907 at Paisley, Renfrewshire. Re query from Glenda concerning William Thomson born 1900 in Ayr. In Family Search there is a mention of a William Thomson born 1900 Ayrshire in the United Kingdom, Merchant Navy Seaman's records as his Military Service 1918 -1921. This had been extracted from "Merchant Navy Seamen 1835-1941," index and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : citing BT 112-116, 119-120, series BT350, The National Archives of the UK, Kew, Surrey.
