Hi Linda, This is a good document. It looks like it might compliment Margaret Sanderson's *The People of Sixteenth Century Ayrshire* which unfortunately is out of print at the moment. I notice that on p. 5 it talks about *The People of Seventeenth Century Ayrshire*. I think the 'Seventeenth' should by 'Sixteenth'. By the way, Derek (DMT - see his email address) has drafted a letter to one of the societies to see if the '*People of Sixteenth Century Ayrshire*' could be reprinted hopefully as a pdf hopefully payable at a small charge. Several prominent people, such as the Boyds are mentioned (see pps. 27, 33, 39, 51, 55, 58, 59, and 60). There is even an Elizabeth Gillies mentioned on p. 60 and a mention of a John Cornelius; these names are of particular interest since my cousins and I since we are researching the Shields, Gillies, Craigs (ppg 60,) and Cornelius families (p. 59).
