    3. LONDON, Dec. 7. (AP) - Capt. James T. McGowan of Centralia, Mo., was killed yesterday, when his U. S. air force jet aircraft burst into flames and crashed into a hillside in Scotland. The accident was announced here today by U. S. 3rd air force authorities. Capt. McGowan, on a ferry mission to the European continent, had taken off from Prestwick airport.
