It is helping me to piece together this family. We only know what Alexander told his sons. I just found David's second wife in the 1901 census. She is still living in Kilmarnock but David has died and she is listed as Maggie. The only children living with her were her children, Maggie (Margaret), Agnes, Minnie and Jeanie. Alexander left home and joined the army in 1892. Still working on locating his brother John. Thanks for all the tips which I have found helpful since I do not live in Scotland.
