Hi Heather, This is a response to an old message of yours (2006). I have Anne Brown married James Morrison in March 1778 Muirkirk. Their first two children were James and Thomas so I suspect Anne's parents of being Thomas Brown and Margaret White shown below but no proof. ANNE BROWN Christening: 07 MAR 1760 New Cumnock, Ayr, Scotland Father: THOMAS BROWN Mother: MARGARET WHITE Batch No.: Dates: Source Call No.: Type: Printout Call No.: Type: C116082 1706 - 1820 1041400 Film 6900534 Film I haven't got anywhere with these Browns but believe James Morrison's father to have also been James so unless Anne's was another James, Thomas is a likely candidate. This would have her born 1760 and married at 18 (she went on having babies for 23 years). Hope you can shed some light?
