I couldn't find them beyond 1881 and I never thought to check for Morrison spelled with two s'. According to family members, Alexander related that his brother John left home at an early age and may have located in the United States. They lost touch with him and never heard from him again. Looking through the 1891 census, I found a Marion(born 1871 in Kilmarnock)married to a James Adam but I am not sure if it is Alexander's older sister as no maiden name was given. I could not find them again in the 1901 census. Alexander left home early to join the army and fight in the Boer War in South Africa so we didn't hear anything about his father's second family.
