My last reference is the 1901 Census which shows only 2 Braney families in Ayr. The previously mentioned David Braney & Margaret Mc Kinlay's young family & David's mother & brother the other family. Obviously there were probably descendants from the sons of the family in Ayr. I would be interested to know where the Braney family you know are now living & if you could give me some idea of their age group.
