Yes, Agnes Garretts mothers Christian name was Agnes and her father's name was John as shown. I will email you a copy of the Banns. John Thomson did indeed have a brother, older, named Alexander. He also had siblings named following Alexander, Margaret, Ann, Sarah Duff, Cecelia Robina,Hendry, Agnes, Martha and Robert.
