My grandfather, Robert Thomson, was born on June 1914 in Ayrshire, Scotland to John Thomson and Agness (Garrett) Thomson. I know that Agnes Garrett had a brother named Matthew and her mother's name was also Agnes. John on the other hand, I know very little, he was a miner and demolitions expert and died shortly after his arrival in America in 1916. I do know that he had an older brother named Alexander or Alex Thomson who also came to America and lived in Pennsylvania for a short period of time. I am at a loss and cannot find anything further.
