There is an Andrew Arnot born 02/12/1809 in Irvine to James Arnot and Barbara Reid. Their marriage is recorded twice - In Colyton parish on 2/7/1809 and in St Quivox on 1/7/1809. Given the closeness in dates between marriage and birth, the family may have adjusted Andrew's birth date.
