Bruce, http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk Scottish records of all sorts, parish records, post 1855 certifixates, census, wills etc are all available to downlaod at a fraction of the price of those from England & Wales. Joanne, I am researching the family of Archibald C. ROY. In the 1901 census he is shown as being born in 1900 at Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. His parents are Alexander (1860) and Helen (1869) Roy are living at 6 Woodstock Place, Kilmarnock along with children James, Mary C, Alexander and Annie in addition to Archibald. Alexander and Helen were both born in Dalmelington, Ayrshire. I found Alexander and Helen in the 1891 census with James and Mary living at 159 Same House Coylton, Ayrshire. Archibald immigrated to the US in 1923. According to Archibald's daughter Helen's surname was Campbell as is Archibald's middle name.
