Are there any marriage records for 1706? My Ancestors were married in Sorn. I would like any record of their bans or license, etc. Could you tell me how to contact anyone who would have such records? Thank you, Jean Bunch

Hi Jean Scotlands People is the place to see if there is a marriage www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk there will not be a record of banns or a licence as they wernt issued in Scotland at that time. There maybe a mention in the kirk session records for Sorn, some of these have been filmed by the LDS and can be ordered into a Family History library for you to go and view.
