I took a look in the BVRIv2 (Br. Vital Records Index) and found the following birth/bap record: JARDINE, George Gender: Male Christening Date: 24 Dec 1797 Recorded in: Tundergarth, Dumfries, Scotland. Father: Joseph JARDINE Source: FHL Film 1067971 Dates: 1791 - 1854 The FHL film may have more information that simply didn't get transcribed onto the BVRI CD's.
