Hi Does anyone have access to the Sorn burial records or know if they can be accessed on-line. I have tried Scotlands People with out any luck. Many thanks Julie
Hi There are no surviving pre-1855 burial registers for Sorn parish. There are MIs but these are not online. Copies are held in various libraries in East Ayrshire and at The Hub in Kilmarnock. Julie Try Ann Geddes at the new Robert Burns Centre for family studies - which is part of the East Ayrshire Library service. I know that the North Ayrshire Council about 15 years ago did a suvery of all their cemetereies as a part of a make work program. Who ever, I am not sure if East Ayrshire did the same or not.
