    3. For about 15 years I have been searching for the marriage of my husband's gggrandparents who were both born, worked and died in the Kilwinning, Stevenston and Dalry areas 1790's to 1870's. I had eventually come to the conclusion that like many others they didn't actually have a church wedding. The other week I was idly putting names into the new LDS pilot site when to my amazement a marriage was shown for Hugh Manners in Clifton, Bristol in 1828 which is exactly when I expected it. I now have copies of both the marriage and the Licence granted two days earlier. The mystery is why in the age before the railway were the two of them down in Bristol just to get married and back in Dalry two months later when their first child was born. I could understand them getting married a bit away from home but hundreds of miles seems a bit extreme. Whatever the reason I am very happy and know never to stop searching. Nuala

    3. Hi Nuala -That's good news - I have at least one similar brick wall. What does the new pilot site do that the other didn't? It seems to take a longer while to load. OOh wow - it ways that on the Quebec census for 1861 there's a John Morrison born Scotland 1795. I THINK he may have a son or grandson John Young Morrison aged 4 (which was my man's full name when he was baptized in 1795). Please does anyone have access to the 1861 for Quebec? Thanks for any guides to searching. Best wishes, Mary

    3. Could they have gone to the hot spas at Bath to help with the pregenancy and got married at Britol on the way. What location were they married in? And does that help to "sort" out the reason why?
