    3. I hope that John Martin from Gateway also gets this message. Margaret In the earely 1990's I was givne this information about this william Boyd from a member of his family. T4 James Boyd, C 29/3/1788, d 29/12/1852 (Berryhill), bu Fenwick kirkyard, m 22/12/1823 (Kilmarnock), Agnes Scouler, dau of James and Agnes (Young) Scouler, b 1798, d 25/3/1896 (Dean St. Kilmarnock), bu Fenwick kirkyard, and had issue:- [Lived: ] - The 1981 International Genealogical Index for Scotland, has an entry for a James Boyd , with same parents, born at Kilmarnock on the same date as above. >From the 1994 IGI for the UK:- James BOYD (M).............. B: 29 Mar 1788 B: 16 Jan 1971 LANGE Ba: 7005510 68 Father: William BOYD Kilmarnock, Ayr, Scotland E: 17 Jun 1971 LANGE So: 538352 Mother: Margaret WALKER SP: 11 Jan 1972 LANGE U1 William Boyd, b 22/3/1824 (Berryhill), d 5/6/1891 (Kilmarnock), m 28/1/1851 (Fenwick), Mary Dickie, dau of Peter and Janet (nee Murchland) Dickie, b 1826, d 24/6/1868 (Ditton farm, Riccarton, Ayr), bu Fenwick kirkyard, and had issue:- [Lived: late of Dean St., Kilmarnock, Scotland ] - The 1981 International Genealogical Index for Scotland, has entry for a William Boyd , with same parents, born at Kilmarnock. There is a separate entry for William and Mary's marriage at Fenwick on 28/6/1851. - After William's father James (T4) died at Berryhill in 29/12/1852, he and Mary went to Berryhill after that date from Greystone Knowe farm Fenwick (From Censuses - 1851?). William was forced to sell Berryhill farm about 1861-1862 due to acute financial problems. The family then moved to Ditton farm, Riccarton, Ayr. I would think that with such a young family it is likely that William married a second time. I have a large tree for the Boyd part of this family. The stange part it seems that they lived in later life in Kilmarnock but were buried in the Churchyard at Fenwick. Hope that this will answer your question.
