Author: shona3hutchison Surnames: hutchison, findlayson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.scotland.ayr.general/1899.1990.1993.1999.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: hello andrew - it's some time since you posted this information so finger crossed you get the message - i am researching my husband's family tree and so far leading back to marriage of john hutchison (1770 -1845)to elizabeth findlayson (1777 - 1870)in muirkirk. eliz's parents were james findlayson and eliz mitchell farming near Muirkirk - james findlayson and/or his father wrote a book on, and designed, a plough - there once was a copy of this in our immediate family but we believe it and the family bible are now with cousins. any help you could give me getting further back with the hutchison line would be great. my father-in-law used to talk of a hutchison convenanter and possible links but no proof.
