William CLARK Snr died in Leith in 1861 and his death entry states that his parents were Quinton CLARK Coach proprietor (deceased) and May CLARK MS McCLEMENT (deceased). In 1841 Scottish Census ALL Qunitin CLARKs are in Ayr & there are very few. There was a May McClement baptised on 1 Jul 1788 Dalrymple, Ayr, Scotland. This Quinton CLARK Snr could be (ix) in your tree ???
