Gilbert Little married Helen Walker 31 Jul 1852 Irvine Gilbert was a coal miner born 1827 Wanlockhead, Dumfriesshire,who with Helen & child joined other Ayrshire coal miners contracted to work for the famous Hudson's Bay Company in Nanaimo, Vancouver island. But left the ship in Valparaiso, Chile to work in the coal mines there. I now know that Gilbert eventually resided in Washington, USA. I am interested in learning more about Helen Walker's family as I do not know where she was born.
