Hello Cecilia, This looks like them: Piece: SCT1841/612 Place: St. Quivox -Ayrshire Enumeration District: 5 Civil Parish: Newton-Upon-Ayr Ecclesiastical Parish, Village or Island: Newton-Upon-Ayr Folio: 5 Page: 7 Address: Russell Street Surname First name(s) Sex Age Occupation Where Born MCCANDLISH Mary F 35 Milliner Outside Census County (1841) MCCANDLISH Margaret F 10 Ayrshire MCCANDLISH Ann F 6 Ayrshire MCCANDLISH James M 1 Ayrshire There was no proper census in 1831 - the first useful one was in 1841. Newton-Upon-Ayr was (or is, it's now a suburb of the town) north of the River Ayr. There is a very short stub of road named Russell Street, but there are no houses on it. I'm wondering where you got 'Klymorme' from? Regards, Robert Struthers On 01/07/2010 19:29, two_shoes wrote: > Is there a census for Scotland in 1831 or 1841?
