Cecilia: I see a Thomas Brown married to Eliza M or N Crawford in April 1850 in Boston, both born Scotland. Problem: Saying Boston could mean within 15 miles or more--they could have been married in a hamlet anywhere near Boston. Have you checked the 1850 Census OR better yet, where their first child was born? Boston?? Birth records might give a better maiden name option. That said, I didn't notice parents' names listed on index. :(
