Aug. 27, 1780 Do you know the senior David's origin? The line I'm researching is the Blackbyre/Clonfin/Mossneuk Calderwoods in Fenwick, apparently with roots at Magbiehill in Stewarton. I am not a member of Ancestry so can't sen this back to that group However in the Fenwich Churchyard book there are two Howatt graves - # 116, MIGHT BE THE FATHER but more likely the grandfather of this couple and in grave #114,it would appear to be the father of grave # 116 FROM THE AGES ON THE GRAVES. However, this will not prove the link but only give you some other possible avenues of research.
