Unsucessfully, I might add. So far I have found John Walker 1805 -1857 born 25 JUL 1805 in Riccarton (now part of Kilmarnock) to Alexander Walker and Elizabeth Gemmell who married in Riccarton on 11 May 1804. But I cannot see any other children. John married Elizabeth Purvis in Riccarton on 19 NOV 1833. They are in 1841 and 1851 census in Kilmarnock with children Margaret, Alexander, Robert and Elizabeth.
